Decision note: the first mobile app
Starting with a simple app shell around the website, because every flow already worked on mobile.
Zigly's first mobile app was a webview: an app shell that opens the existing website, without native features.
- Why start here: every product, booking and pharmacy flow already worked on the mobile site, so a wrapper gave Zigly an app presence with almost no new build. One codebase, one release.
- What it can't do: push notifications, app-only reminders, native-speed screens or offline use.
- What changed later: the team replaced the third-party app-builder with its own in-house webview shell, removing an outside dependency.
- What comes next: a native app built around the customer experience is being planned.
