How these are measured

Introduction

A product manager with 8+ years in product and 12+ years in e-commerce and consumer technology. Currently leading product and design at Zigly, an omnichannel pet care business under Cosmo First, and planning the work of a small engineering team of four developers and one QA engineer.

Since April 2025 the team has rebuilt Zigly's online business. A legacy website that wasn't converting has become one platform. It sells products, vet and grooming appointments and medicines, and connects stores, warehouses, couriers, clinics and customer care. Most of what made this possible was a choice to buy proven systems and spend the team's limited time on joining them up well.

Three decisions that shaped the work

  1. Replatform instead of repair.

A platform with ready integrations let the team build the customer journey rather than maintain the platform.

  2. Ship from stores.

Orders go to the nearest location with stock, with a three-hour limit before passing on and the Delhi warehouse as the final fallback.

  3. A vet reviews every pharmacy order.

Customers without a prescription aren't turned away. A vet consults them before anything is dispatched.

How the work is approached

  • P1

Start from the problem. Call logs, order data and journey walk-throughs decided what to build first.

  • P2

Buy, then integrate. Proven SaaS where it exists; engineering time goes into connecting systems well.

  • P3

Sequence by dependency. Prioritisation scores show value; dependencies decide order.

  • P4

Release with gates. Written test cases and real end-to-end checks before anything goes live.

  • P5

Say what is shared. Results that came from several changes are reported as shared.
